I always like to have as many revisions on my papers as possible. If you notice any misspellings, errors, anything please point them out. Thanks!!

Generations can be influenced from a variety of different things, each generation has a different impact and brings something new to the table, good and bad. Generation Y for instance, is influenced by its eco friendly ways, its material needs, and its extensive technology.
Generation Y is all about the helping environment. This generation is by far the most eco-friendly, environment loving generation yet. “Green is in.” There are now clothing lines dedicated to being eco-friendly, along with shampoo’s, soaps, cleaning products, cosmetics, jewelry, and plenty more. Recycling is now considered hip, which is bringing more people into this trend. It is advertised if something is made from recycled items or when a company goes “green“. Not only is Generation Y recycling, but is also producing more environmentally friendly cars and informing more people about the impact of green house gases. There are many websites and television specials made especially for teaching us how to live more eco-friendly lives.
Material items seem to be a must for Generation Y. Everywhere one looks there is an advertisement trying to sell something new. They are up on billboards, on magazines, in commercials, and are always popping up while one is on the Internet. Children of this generation have less money saved because of the need to feel accepted. They feel pressure to buy latest play station 3 game or the must have coach purse. Trends seem change as fast a seasons, and it takes a lot of money to keep up with these ever changing trends. There is so much pressure created to have the “best”. This is one trend that won’t be missed once out.
Where would we be without technology? We now can even have a car tell us how to get somewhere. Generation Y in particular has became really dependent on this technology. We do not no life without having the ability to instantly get in touch with someone. There are cell phones, texting, and of course the internet. Myspace and Facebook are huge with this generation. Almost every person has one or the other, if not both. With these it is possible for one to tell everyone they are friends with about something that happened to them with just a click of a button. Technology has became so advanced that we have computer and cell phones all wrapped up into one. If technology was ever cut off from the generation it would be truly lost.
Generation Y is made up of environmentalists, material needs, and technology lovers. There are many generations yet to come and will take and learn from Generation Y. Hopefully all can keep moving forward to bring more good out.

Going Green. Little Help?

Thursday, January 29th, 2009
kate asked:

My family and I have decided to go green with all chemical free, environmental friendly products. Call us hippies but we want to help the earth. So anyways we already have organic foods but we need a little help. Normally we use Tide for our detergent but when I visited their site none of their seem to be very eco-friendly. Is their a tide detergent that is? If not tell me what you use!
Also can you tell us good products for paper towels, dish detergent, cleaning products, soup and all that? Anything else you can think of! Thank you very much!
Okay we are not completely shutting down our water and electricity and stuff! We just want to know how to use eco-safe products and help the evironment a little.
To PUNisher- what the heck? are you telling us to stop wearing clothes and go anti-technolagy? We’re not cave people!!

Vegans: Questions about wearing leather?

Thursday, January 29th, 2009
Ann Marie R asked:

Ok I really try not to wear ANY animals at all and my thing is about leather like wheter its handbags or shoes ……
What if its vintage leather from like 1970’s etc. or something still wrong ?
I want to be a true vegan and have my morla and ethics match up and yet i dont want to be stuck wearing things that are not attractive if you know what i mean…….
My style is vintage things as apposed to buying new stuff all the time when you can get real cool clothes just the same from vintage stores and what not…….
What if you were say to travel to Europe ( Paris as an example) and you go shopping at there famed vintage stores and see amazing things you love but then notice how there made out of leather and you stop to think ……
What should you do ?
Im trying my best to be as animal friendly as well as eco friendly as possible from vegan friendly products and being as green as possible but i really need to know where vegans stand on vintage leather
thanks i hope that made sense and didnt sound too rambly…….

Environmental/Green Websites?

Tuesday, January 27th, 2009
LondonGRL asked:

Can anyone suggest some environmental or green websites for the UK?

I’ve just come across http://www.greenfinder.co.uk it’s a great resource for any eco-minded people in the UK. It puts you in touch with loads of different environmentally friendly products, services and companies across the country.

About time too!

http://www.greenfinder.co.uk

Also, http://www.usefulgarbage.com is another great environmental site which puts people who want to get rid of stuff with people who want to get hold of stuff. What a great way to reduce, reuse and recycle household goods. I’ve just had a lovely lady come and pick up some furniture I no longer needed.

Saved me a trip to the dump and saved a bit of space in a UK landfill!

Going Green Without Going Broke?

Wednesday, January 21st, 2009
Crash asked:

Ok I’m trying to go green and be more friendly to the planet, I do actually care. But everything green is so expensive!! I’ve switched to a few green things, cleaning products mainly. But I see that biodegradable recycled paper towels are $3 a roll when I can get regular ones for $1 a roll. As eco friendly as I’d like to be I can’t afford to start paying triple for things.
I see some people have gone ‘off the grid’ as they like to call it. I wish I had the money and land to set that up. But all I have is 4 acres and with 2 horses it’s not like I can start a huge garden and farm my own food animals.
I’d love to hear from anyone who can help me be as green as possible, but on a budget and with only a very small amount of land.
I already know about conserving electricity and water. I’m on my own well system but still have to use government electricity since installing solar is so ridiculously overpriced.
Any ideas?
Thanks guys!
I did buy some of those reusable shopping bags after work last night. I totally forgot about using cloth baby diapers instead of paper towels, jeez talk about an extended blonde moment!
We’ll have a garden and we’re going to get a couple of goats, but it’s only going to reduce what we buy at the store, not stop us entirely from going. But yes, I should plant some fruit trees and berry bushes where I can. Keep in mind, this 4 acres has my house and yard on it as well, it’s not a spare 4 acres, 4 acres total.
Thanks for all the suggestions. I’ll get started on those things ASAP.

Eco-Friendly and/or Cruelty-Free Liquid Bleach Alternative?

Thursday, January 8th, 2009
quiet_hands asked:

I have been looking for a product that is an alternative to liquid bleach. I have a front loading, high-efficiency washer and I can’t use a powdered bleach alternative in my washing cycle. I would like to know if there is a liquid bleach alternative on the market that is eco-friendly and cruelty free? I usually dry my white sheets in the sun, but now that the frost is here, I can’t do that anymore. I’d love to keep my whites white in the cold months as well.
