I just can’t stand that our furniture, clothing and homes are filled with toxic substances and chemicals. I’ve heard that many manufactured products that you can find in our homes emit a toxic gas. Is there an alternative to foam that I can use for support when I re-upholster furniture? Something that will biodegrade? I know hay and horse hair were used back in the day, but that isn’t very cheap right now. Any other suggestions?

the question says it all. i am a veggie, but also realise that “pleather” is not exactly eco friendly, and i am looking for websites that offer creulty free leather, cos that kinda solves the problem. so long as the animal the leather came from wasnt killed, im happy.
