Small Business needs awesome FREE Rolodex but doesn’t know how to get it?

Jane D asked:

We are a small business that is trying to organize all of our old business cards onto a central database software or sorts. We need to be able to create different classifications for the contacts and export the lists to email. For example, we need to be able to classify a contact more than one way, such as “eco-friendly” and also “retailer”, thus if we need to email a group about a new product line they would be in it, but if it was about manufacturing, they would not. Also, it would be idea to be able to select by region, or everyone who is under a company name. We also need to be able to generate phone lists based on the same criteria.

Any ideas? The software must be Free.

THANKS!

What is the best laptop for me?

Lauren asked:

I’m going to be using it for school work at my high school.
The school is eco-friendly so I would like the laptop to be energy star qualified.
The price needs to be less than $1000.
I need a webcam w/ built in mic, a sufficient amount of memory, ultra-portability, good battery life as well (so that I can use it in class) and the disc reader slot thing (I’m not a high tech person so I really need the help).
I’ve been considering an hp but really I’m open to anything.

this is the top contender in my search but I’m still not sure.

It would be great if you could add a link to your suggestion. Thank you :) I’m going to be using it for school work at my high school.

Since 1962 Wal-Mart has given us great products for our money, yet people still bash them for reasons I don’t even know. I have gathered some information from a few online sources such as Wikipedia, and Wal-Mart watch to show that Wal-Mart does a lot of productive things for society as well.

What isn’t often said is how much Wal-Mart has contributed to our society by offering low prices on a wide array of goods, and easy access to those goods, to consumers. If Wal-Mart were not offering superior value would you shop there? No!

It’s no secret that Wal-Mart prides itself in being a store that gives back to the community. Given the current economy, how have we stepped up our efforts to help? Wal-Mart does things such as give money and donations to local charities, food banks, like how they give food donations to Neighbor to Neighbor food banks every month hear in Hamilton, or how about how they gave $5000 check to a local charities to help raise awareness of homelessness.

Wal-Mart has taken a step towards being an eco friendly business. It sure is useful to slow down the world and the amount of waste we create. Wal-Mart encourages purchase of their new reusable bags which in itself gets rid of a massive amount of plastic in our landfills. Some Wal-Mart is even powered by wind turbine, and eco friendly roofs. All these little changes have a great affect on our environment.

What do people say about Wal-Mart? The town destroying, junk purveying, labor abusing, sweatshop supporting. Job killing, soul numbing, seizure-inducing, hope curdling, retailer in the known universe. (Just ask around) Basically when you ask someone what they think about Wal-Mart as a business you get a negative response, I don’t believe Wal-Mart is as bad as we make them out to be.

I think we tend to give Wal-Mart a hard time for the same reasons we give anything successful a hard time. It’s our need for something to talk about. Our need for drama, and there is no easier target then a big corporation, because we all know there will be mistakes in them. Wal-Mart has a lot negatives, but we know in everything in this world has something negative about it. We need to look at the other side and see how much Wal-Mart actually does for us.

Does anyone know anything about the Sabertec Blade? Car experts only please?

Monday, August 3rd, 2009
snorkweezl asked:

So I was reading Lucky magazine, and under their eco gadgets section they list the Sabertec Blade as an eco friendly tailpipe attachment that supposedly reduces air pollution and increases gas mileage. The website (www.bladeyourride.com) wasn’t especially helpful, giving abundant information on the mechanics of an engine, and a catalytic converter, but zero information on the mechanics of the gadget itself. They claim that it 1. Filters particulates out of the exhaust, 2. Decreases the warm-up time for the catalytic converter (apparently by magic as they don’t say how it actually does this) and 3. It “vacuums” the exhaust through the system and out of the car for greater combustion efficiency.
My inclination is that it’s a complete scam, and I would love to write a scathing letter to the editor for not doing her homework and subsequently leading women astray with yet another expensive fuel efficiency gadget that doesn’t work. Trouble is I can’t find any information whatsoever about the product that doesn’t relate back to Sabertec’s ad pitch.

Can this thing possibly work? Please only serious responses from people who know cars
