eco beauty secrets?

i am trying to get my family and i to be more eco friendly, but most of us need to wash our hair everyday because oily hair runs in the family. during the summer i usually wash my hair every other day but for school i need to every morning. any tips on how to cut down on water use or any other ideas.
it would also help to give any beauty secrets u know that are eco friendly or eco friendly beauty products you all use.
