Looking for new plastics?

We have a floatable raft that is currently made of PVC plastic. We would like to find a plastic that is cheaper (this is a must) and is eco-friendly.

Any suggestions? Again, the product is a floatable raft that people actively interact with so it needs to be somewhat durable and lightweight.
When I meant floating raft, I meant a blowup raft.
