Preserving our environment requires making new consumer choices about everything. Shopping green online rather than burning gas to drive from store to store is most efficient and economical way not only to save time and money but also the planet. How do you participate in saving the environment?

For clothing and other non-food items, I think it’s best to buy used at thrift shops, yard sales, book sales, etc. Then it’s good to buy recycled products at stores, so at least you aren’t wasting gas having something shipped to you on a truck. Then order recycled goods on the Internet, followed by buying non-recycled items at a store. The worst would be ordering non-recyclible stuff from the Internet. Am I on the right track here?

A lot of people argue that buying organic, ECO friendly products coasts more. And there for they don’t want to spend the little extra, even though it is a better quality.
Do you think the more people buy ECO friendly, the more it becomes main stram, and thus the price will go down. Or will it stay the same ?

My mom is new to green living and asked me for ideas for redoing her kitchen. I mentioned energy star appliances, if she plans to upgrade, and some recycled countertop material. Have you used any good eco-friendly kitchen products in your home?
