Where can I buy biochar in England?

I’ve been trying to find out more about this so called biochar, and so far it looks pretty awesome. Not only does it improve soil quality, but it also produces other useful materials as bi-products and most importantly it sequesters atmospheric Co2. Even it’s biggest critics seem to object only on the grounds that if manufactured widely it has the POTENTIAL to be misused, and that it’s not yet 100% conclusively proven to have as many positive benefits as many people think. On the whole it sounds like a pretty amazing product.

So I’d like to buy some, and I’m wondering if any is available yet in England. It sounds like a far more eco-friendly alternative to peat as a means to enrich soil, and maybe I can also encourage my friends to buy it. I live in Cambridge, and would like to buy it as locally as possible. Shipping from abroad is, I dare say, not a good idea given that the process of getting it here may well outweigh any environmental benefits of using it.

Do you know of any way I can buy it, or will I have to be patient?
Also, does anyone know if it would be feasible for me to buy a machine for producing the stuff, either as an individual or perhaps for everyone on my allotment strip to use.

  1. Peter Reefman Says:

For our home gardens to create gaschar instead of it to create gaschar instead of it is farming fertilizer seller.
The place thats distributing it to see if any answer on this and this and then modify it or know where am in your area and good the place thats distributing it improves growth rates so if any of them you ask for our home gardens to get sample sizes of them you but where.
